Over two focused days, you’ll work hands-on with real machines and real workflows, learning advanced photo engraving techniques, dual-laser applications, and practical finishing methods you can apply immediately in your shop.
Training Topics & Hands-On Sessions
Two days of instructor-led, hands-on sessions covering photo engraving, granite workflows, finishing techniques, and advanced laser methods. Classes range from core fundamentals to advanced techniques, allowing both newer and experienced AP Lazer owners to gain real, practical value.
Photo Editing Basics 1 & 2
Learn how to take a raw photo and turn it into a clean, consistent granite engraving using a repeatable workflow. This beginner-friendly session covers Corel Photo-Paint fundamentals, essential photo-editing techniques, and best practices for preparing artwork correctly. You’ll process images in Photograv, export files properly, and run a complete engraving in LightBurn to achieve dependable results.
Ideal for users at any experience level who want stronger fundamentals and more predictable photo engraving outcomes.

Photo Editing Advanced 1 & 2
This advanced session focuses on elevating portrait engraving quality through deeper photo analysis and refinement. You’ll learn how to assess source images, improve contrast and detail, and correct problem photos using advanced tools in Corel Photo-Paint, Topaz Labs Gigapixel, and Photograv. The goal is cleaner, more professional-looking engravings — even when starting with imperfect source material.
Best suited for AP Lazer users with two or more years of experience who want to refine their artistic eye and produce premium memorial or portrait work.
